    Posted on Sept. 30, 2007 at 09:36 +0200 Tagged with , ,

So ... first day at the Barcamp in Vienna and 2nd day in Vienna itself. I was just lucky to get to the MS building in time from the hotel (the metro was quite deserted) :D Nice building and absolutely stunning location in general. The rooms are just great.

There you've ignored Launchpad for 2 months and when you take a look at it again, and all of a sudden it includes all the features you complained were missing the last time you checked. Perfect.

Tonight finally Pixelmator, the quite hyped new image editor for the Mac, has seen its first public release. And since I was actually looking forward to it, I gave it a try right after waking up ...

  • Automating stuff with SCons

    Posted on Sept. 24, 2007 at 23:14 +0200 Tagged with ,

Once again a post about a tool that I use quite frequently (or plan to). This time: SCons. • Back again!

  • Star Trek: Vulcan's Soul II - Exiles

    Posted on Sept. 22, 2007 at 10:12 +0200 Tagged with , , , ,

The second book of the "Vulcan's Soul" trilogy is once again a book for those of you out there, who might want to get to know the Vulcan people a little bit better. • Getting to know Twisted

    Posted on Sept. 20, 2007 at 18:42 +0200 Tagged with , ,

Lately I've been in need for some simple client-server solutions that do specific jobs like transcoding a video using mencoder or simply adding an AVI container to a FLV videostream and MP3 audiostream. So I started taking a close look at the Twisted framework for Python ...

  • Metal Gear AC!D 2

    Posted on Sept. 18, 2007 at 23:08 +0200 Tagged with , ,

About 2 years ago I got man hands on Meta Gear AC!D, a card-based strategy game for the PSP set in the Metal Gear universe. While heavily criticized by nearly every review crew on the planet, I still really enjoyed it and it was one of the few titles I really found the motivation to finish. On my trip to the Czech Republic and Germany I took the successor to this game with me ...

  • Digg Podcast approval ...

11 days ago the first official phpBB podcast was released to the net. In order to increase awareness for it, I also wanted to submit it to Digg's podcast listing aside from services like Odeo and similar sites ...
