I'm currently working on a new blog to get this weblog here a little bit more focused on tech related stuff and ran into a small dilemma. When printing a blog post I'm normally just interested in the post itself and not in the comments made by other users. But I also can remember situations, where the interesting content was within the comments to that post and not within the post itself.

Another meme. Sorry, Stefan, that it took me so long, but I'm currently in the middle of learning for all those exams I have next week.

Thanks to digg.com I found this nice list of some video podcasts out there including all-time classics like dl.tv, commandN and diggnation. But no gaming in there? Can't be But first things first. When I made my mini-series of things I loved in 2005 I also thought about making a post about which InternetTV (sorry, am not a fan of the term IPTV for those things) shows, but somehow forgot about it at least partially thanks to Ninja Gaiden Black I bought right after last Christmas.

... Were was I? Right, gaming. There are at least two great shows that are released more or less every week that I couldn't live without anymore.

Just wanted to let you know: The gem has made it into the gems.rubyforge.org repository and you can now install newsfire_export with sudo gem install newsfire_export without have to download the gem first

Three days ago Patrick May let me know, that his plist parser for Ruby is now also available as gem in the gems.rubyforge.org repository. So I saw a reason to look into gems once again and make my small newsfire_export script available as gem. This way installing it and its requirements (well, plist is the only one ) should be far easier now.

I bought this book somewhen during the Christmas holidays but so far had no time to read more than 10 pages or something like that. With all of my exams for this semester quickly approaching I somehow doubt that I can afford reading another Star Trek book now since time passes by far too quickly when reading a novel So I will simply grab this book from the shelf now and try to get through it while not having a negative effect on my learning speed.

Well, here comes to second (Star Trek) book of 2006 for me and I have to say, it was quite a positive suprise. Originally, I ordered this book simply because I was a little bit curious but also because I needed another yet another book

First of all: What is this book all about? It's basically a collection of more or less key events in the life of the Dax symbiont and its hosts starting with Ezri but then going back to the begin with Lela, the politician, straight to Toban, then scientist. The next host then reader gets to know a little bit more is sporty Emony followed by Audrid, who was a former directory of the TSC. Next comes Torias, the test pilot, followed by the black sheap Joran. The last two hosts are Curzon and Jadzia.

A week ago Pedro Palazß³n of the TXP core developer team announced support for XMLRPCs for blogging on Textpattern where he also stated, that it will include complete support for the MovableType API. Now I just hope this also means, that the mt_keywords fields of MT's extension of the metaWeblog-API will be supported which would be a reason for me too look into TXP once again.
