I'm just coming from my first cinema trip for more than 4 months which was caused by the new Blade movie.

After searching for reviews and other stuff about the iRiver iFP-8xx and 7xx series and esp. about their UMS firmware upgrades I've come to the conclusion that I don't want any of them... From what I've seen in the forums on iRiver.com quite a lot people have quite big problems with the new firmwares which also seem to break "old" features.

iRiver has released UMS drivers for their iFP-7xx series. Ok, this happened a few weeks back but I only found out thanks to this article on geeknewscentral. This came as a small shock because I've ordered an iAudio G3 just yesterday which is much more expensive then the comparable model by iRiver (iFP-799). With this new firmware it should be no problem to get the player receive it's music also from GNU/Linux systems instead of the proprietary software iRiver bundles with its product

Seems like Technorati has currently some problems with their servers. Yesterday the whole members section seemed to be broken. After a short e-mail someone from their support told me, that they have some problems with their database and that everything should work again now.

For all of you who still think that there are not enough Flash-memory standards out there: There is a now one on the block. It's called µCard and should be compatible with SD- and MMC-Cards. Heise.de wrote, that this medium should be cheaper than the current SD- and MMC-cards which will definitely make my digicam happy

I've now also installed the TechnoTags plugin for WordPress here, to be precise the version by William Spaetzel and added some small modifications myself. IMO the whole concept of this whole tagging is really nice and simple as long as no one abuses the whole category system
